About me
I currently serve as the Program Specialist for Yolo County SELPA in Northern California, where I have dedicated nearly 15 years to the field of special education. My journey began as a paraeducator, where I immersed myself in the intricacies of various classroom dynamics and different types of individualized student support. Building upon this foundation, I transitioned into the role of a special day class teacher, specializing in guiding high school students with emotional disabilities.
As a SELPA Administrator, I bring a wealth of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the diverse needs within special education. My tenure in various roles has equipped me with invaluable insights into the intricacies of educational systems and the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering a meaingful inclusive environment for every learner.
I am deeply invested in the success and well-being of all students, and I am dedicated to leveraging my expertise to continue championing their rights and facilitating their growth and development within our educational community.
