In this session, attendees will hear about approaches and strategies for resolving conflict from the perspective of a special education director and SELPA administrator with over 20 years of experience.  Through storytelling, the presenter will share how he came to better understand his role as a leader in fostering positive relationships with parents.  Lessons will touch on creativity and problem-solving; compromise and settlement; program defensibility and improvement; and the importance of apology, humility, and service.
