About me
Joanna Della Gatta is the Executive Director for the Ventura County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). In collaboration with the member districts within Ventura County SELPA, she oversees and coordinates the delivery, administration and coordination of special education services, while managing the SELPA’s programs, services, and activities. She has served within the Ventura County SELPA since 2014, supporting schools, districts, families, and staff in the areas of Transition to Adult Life, IEP Compliance Monitoring, Data Coordination and the SIRAS special education data system. Joanna has a passion for supporting students in college and career readiness and is currently serving as the State Workability Advisory Chair. Her teaching career began in 2001, teaching students with disabilities.
