Parent Ambassadors are dedicated volunteers and mentors who support and guide fellow parents of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and those exploring special education options. Their contributions are vital in helping all students learn and grow to their fullest potential. Currently, Poway USD is proud to have over 50 Parent Ambassadors, each representing students with diverse ages and disabilities. These ambassadors come from varied backgrounds and experiences that have led them to this role.

Following a brief overview of the Poway USD Parent Ambassador Program, a panel—including several Parent Ambassadors, the Director of Family Engagement, Support and Resolution, and the Parent Engagement Liaison—will answer questions from the audience on how to establish a similar Parent Ambassador Program in your district.
